Dr. Lindsey Ricciardi was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She was honored with the UNLV President’s Graduate Fellowship in 2003 for her seminal research efforts investigating psychological and social aspects of weight loss surgery. She went on to complete her professional internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals Eating and Weight Disorders program. While at Chicago, Dr. Ricciardi helped develop and direct behavioral health services at the Center for Surgical Treatment of Obesity. She has presented her weight loss surgery research at numerous national and international academic conferences and has been an invited lecturer at several hospitals and organization throughout the country. Together with her husband Dominic, a bariatric physician, she runs an interdisciplinary weight management program, Creative Health Solutions, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she serves as Director of Behavioral Health Services.
